World Congress SDIA Program

During the 13th Subud World Congress in Christ Church New Zealand (January 4-18, 2010), SDIA is coordinating a program of meetings, seminars and workshops related to development issues and strengthening our association.  This is an opportunity for members of the Susila Dharma Network to share their learning and to acquire new skills.  We specially welcome the participation of members from India, Indonesia, Latin America and DR Congo.

The SDIA Annual General Meeting will be held on January 9.

2010.02 Anisha Preschool Request

Anisha is working with 150 families in one of the slums of Bangalore. It is requesting help to support pre-school for very young children, aged 3–6 years, so that they will succeed in school.

2010.02 Fundacion Amanecer: Colegio Nuestra Señora de Fatima

Fundacion Amanecer's Colegio Nuestra Señora de Fatima is seeking a grant to help educate at risk children and also donations to help pay tuition for individual children at the school.

2010.02 Mithra Foundation Request

Mithra Foundation's Cognitive Stimulation Programme will address the needs of children below the age of 5 who are in particular distress due to illiteracy, alcoholism and violence to provide these under-stimulated, children with compensatory experiences to prepare them for entering 1st grade.

2010.02 Asociacion Vivir Request

Ecuador has high levels of childhood malnutrition, undernourishment and anemia. Asociación Vivir proposes a training program to promote breast feeding for up to six months and a diet rich in iron for children up to two years of age.  Vivir's practical and comprehensive methodology will help the mothers and families support the development of healthy children.
