Bina Cita Utama School
The name “Bina Cita Utama” (BCU) means to nurture ideals, hopes and ambitions. The vision of the school is to develop a high quality learning environment and address the need in Central Kalimantan for education. In so doing the school will be a model for future schools in the province. BCU School is the only National Plus School in the province and uses a bilingual (English and Indonesian) and multic cultural curriculum.

Our mission is to develop a high quality learning environment which nurtures and educates children so that as adults, they will be able to make real and positive contributions to the development of their communities and the world.

The scholarship program was established at BCU from the inception of the school, with the intention to ensure that the unique high-quality education offered at BCU would also benefit talented local children from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The aim of the school is to have at least 10% - 15% of the student population on scholarship at any given time.

Currently BCU has 36 students with an expected increase of 10 in September 2008.
