This indigenous community school in Inka Samana operates in three languages (Kichwa, Spanish and English) and works with the Saraguro in the following ways:

General missions:

To offer academic excellence with the intercultural education trilingual sustainable by the Saraguro natives and other people,
To constitute a research center and cultural rescue,
To create a system of communitarian life.

Specific objectives:

To offer trilingual education and an atmosphere of practiced indigenous values to children and adolescents,
  • To use kichwa as the communication language and learning,
  • To offer a relaxed therapeutic atmosphere to support the students,
  • To enable professors, students, parents and public generally,
  • To establish a research team of cultural systematization,
  • To maintain and develop the cultural values, by means of activities such as textile factories, jewellery, hat shop, pottery and arts,
  • To facilitate and recreate music, dance and indigenous choreography,
  • To document oral literature,
  • To increase productive, cattle, artisan agricultural projects and of commercialization within the Educative Unit,

  • To maintain and practice intercultural interchanges between students, educational staff and parents,
  • To practice communitarian and organizational life,
  • To integrate the family, community and organization in an active form,
