Fundacion Amanecer, through its Colegio Nuestra Señora de Fatimah, has come a long way in creating community-oriented, social, and educational projects, serving as a bridge between vulnerable families and the state-run educational institutions.

This work offers personalized attention to children with various different problems or issues, transformative and sensitive education, as well as family empowerment.
Presently, the program takes in and educates children from La Tebaida and the local rural area, and has seen:
  • 2 children who have just graduated from our own Semillitas program;
  • 2 more from the indigenous Embera Chami community;
  • 2 children with learning difficulties;
  • 2 with disabilities;
  • 2 with difficulties in adapting to learning environments;
  • 3 children from Subud families which require help in educating their children.
Objective: To strengthen this program to continue and improve these services and provide for the needs of certain families as well as to fill in the gaps of state-run education.

Results: The program results and progress up to July 31 2009 can be found in the attachment. There are also biannual reports regarding the development of the program complete with photographs.
